Hi everyone,
I'm new to this tribe. <waves>
I have been thinking about travel nursing off and on for a while, but it seems that circumstances might be better for me now to take assignments as a travel nurse in the next 6 months or so.
For those of you who travel, how has the economy affected your ability to get assignments on a regular basis? If you have assignments, do you get called off much, if at all? Is it pretty much a take-what-you-can-get atmosphere, or do you still have choices in your locations and/or shifts?
Also if anyone has recommendations/ warnings about any particular agency, I'd welcome that input as well.
I am a surgical nurse, and would ideally stick with that area when travelling.
Thanks in advance :)
Kate
