The AMA has gone way too far this time. Now they are actually proposing legislation to mandate how and where women give birth! This is their desperate knee-jerk reaction to the ever-growing body of evidence both in the US and worldwide that proves that home births with a trained midwife are just as safe for low-risk mothers (and babies) as are low-risk births in the hospitals.

Tell our legislators to ignore their whining, and the AMA to grow up:
